Houston Apartment with Water Damage

Apartments have many water problems. Most of which come from a careless upstairs neighbor. In this case the upstairs neighbor left the water on to fill the tub but forgot to turn it off.

You can clearly see the water lines in the fist picture. The water had come down the seams and soaked the entire lower room. We could not save the lower, more wet, drywall as it started to sag and crumble. We cut out that part of the room at around four feet.

The second picture shows the new drywall getting ready to be placed back into this room. Cutting the walls at four feet is by design since new drywall comes in many lengths but always in four foot widths.
